There are no longer need for chemical refrigerants in any known refrigeration application. Natural refrigerants has been available for all applications for many years onshore, and the same technology are becoming more accessible also for offshore use. Winns has taken a leading role in this implementation.
The range of Winns DX precision coolers is a result of many years of development with funding from Innovasjon Norge. As of June 2021, 6 Winns systems are fully tested and installed offshore in both FPSO and fixed installations operated by major Norwegian oil companies.
The units span from 10 to 55 kW cooling capacity. The 4 sizes presents a seamless capacity with extraordinary capacity adaption due to its VSD controlled compressors and Winns special PLC software.
Many of the largest operation companies now describes CO2 as refrigerant in their Technical Requisitions, and we are able to provide it.
